Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Framestory, operated by Framestory SASU, Paris, France. By creating an account or running the public demo, you accept them.

August 1, 2026

1. Definitions

“Framestory”, “we” or “us” means Framestory SASU. “You” means the person or company using the service. “Input” means the photos and context you upload. “Output” means the blog post, captions, alt-texts and gallery introduction generated from your Input. “Service” means the Framestory website, application and API.

2. The service

Framestory reads the photos of a shoot and drafts a write-up, platform captions and alt-texts in English or French. The service is provided on a subscription basis, with a free tier that includes two shoot stories per calendar month.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at contact@framestory.digital if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Plans, quotas and fair use

Each plan carries a monthly allowance of generated packages, enforced server-side. Unlimited plans are subject to fair use: sustained automated volume far beyond normal professional use may be throttled after we notify you.

5. Fees, billing and taxes

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, at the price shown at checkout. Prices exclude applicable VAT, which is added where required. Annual plans are billed as a single payment covering twelve months.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time; your plan then runs to the end of the paid period and is not renewed. We do not pro-rate partial periods. If the service is materially broken and we cannot fix it, contact us and we will refund the affected period.

7. Your content and ownership

You keep all rights in the photos and context you upload. As between you and us, you also own the Output generated from your Input, and you may publish, edit and sell it without attribution to Framestory.

You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit your Input and Output solely to operate the service for you. We do not use your photos or your Output to train models, and we do not publish them.

8. Accuracy of generated content

Generated write-ups are drafts. They are produced by a model reading pixels, not a witness to your day. Names, venues, dates, prices, relationships and any factual claim can be wrong or invented. You must read and correct every draft before publishing it, and you are solely responsible for what you publish.

Framestory gives no warranty that Output is accurate, original, non-infringing, or suitable for any particular purpose, including search ranking outcomes.

9. Acceptable use

You may not upload content you have no right to use, content depicting minors in an unlawful way, or content that is illegal, hateful or sexually explicit. You may not resell raw access to the underlying model, attempt to bypass quotas, probe our security, or use the service to produce misleading content presented as journalism.

10. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party hosting, authentication and model providers. Their availability is outside our control, and integrations described as “in development” are not part of the service until they ship.

11. Intellectual property in the service

The Framestory name, interface, code and design remain our property. Nothing in these terms transfers them to you.

12. Availability and changes

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it, and we may perform maintenance. We may change features, and if a change materially reduces a paid plan we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email so you can cancel.

13. Warranties and disclaimer

Except as expressly stated, the service is provided “as is”, without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in that period or one hundred euros. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost bookings, lost search ranking or reputational harm arising from published Output. Liability for death, personal injury, fraud or gross negligence is not excluded.

15. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings, which deletes your content. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, after notice where reasonably possible, and immediately in cases of illegality or risk to the service.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. We will try to resolve any dispute amicably by email first. Failing agreement, the courts of Paris, France have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule that lets a consumer sue in their country of residence. Questions: contact@framestory.digital.
